Welcome to Astrology Booth’s
All visitors are requested to be on Janet’s contact list. If you’re not already on it, please sign up!
There are two sections to this Study Booth:
There's also an extensive list of Recommended Resources (mostly books).
As you dig deeper into astrology, you will probably want to learn how to look up where the planets are moving (called "transits"), and this is done in a book of tables called an ephemeris. Here's an excerpt from Janet's Plan-its calendars outlining How to Read an Ephemeris.
Last - but not least - I sometimes offer classes via conference calls. (They do require that you call a long distance number which is not toll-free.) Preregistration is required to receive the "homework" ahead of time and to get the phone number to call for the class. Browse around, let me know what you think, and tell your friends! If there's a topic you'd like me to hold a class on, please contact me!
In this Study Booth, I’ll be trying to serve the masses as well as my fellow aficionados, so the information is aimed at varying levels of astrological expertise. If something seems “over your head,” try plowing through it. You can use my keywords for assistance or you may need to review the Basics.
As I state in the introduction to the Information Booth, I’m not here to re-invent the wheel, not even the chart wheel! Since so many people tell me I’m a good teacher, I do want to share what I can. I’m posting up modified versions of handouts I’ve used over the years when teaching astrology classes and lecturing to astrologers and to general audiences (“lay people”).
I’ve often said to myself that my mission in astrology is to “take it to the streets” and that’s one reason I developed my Janet’s Plan-its calendars, to make astrology’s wisdom accessible to people who don’t have the time or inclination to study the subject in depth. This Study Booth is another tactic in that mission of sharing my love for the study of the stars.
